BIO

Nazareth Rivas is a Nicaraguan contemporary visual artist based in the United States. Her practice combines a strong academic foundation in Fine Arts and Art History, developed through her studies in Spain, with an independent and evolving artistic practice.

Her work explores animals as spaces of emotional reflection, personal escape, and symbolic presence. Drawn to their silence, strength, natural majesty, and instinctive way of existing beyond language, she uses the animal figure as a means of translating inner emotion into visual form.

Her practice brings together academic knowledge, contemporary visual research, and an intuitive approach to composition, color, anatomy, and light, creating works that give form to what often remains unspoken and held within.

Her work has been presented publicly in the United States, including Echoes of the Wild, a hybrid painting exhibition, as well as in private art presentations. She has also participated in a grand opening at The Gallery Fort Collins, further expanding her presence within the contemporary art and cultural community.
